Services were held Monday, April 5, 2010 in the Trinity Fellowship Church North Ministry Center with her son, Michael Dyer, John Love and Tim Elliott officiating. Graveside services were held in the Zybach Cemetery near Allison, Texas by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home. Elizabeth was born November 2, 1924 in Midway, Oklahoma to Frank and Virgie George in the house that her grandfather "Pa" built. She grew up in Midway and attended school there. She married the love of her life Norman Dyer on June 17, 1941 in Reydon, Oklahoma and she worked side-by-side with him at many different jobs throughout their life together. They moved to Boys Ranch in 1971 and worked there until his death in 1989. Elizabeth moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1995 to live with her daughter and family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Howardwick and was a prayer warrior who loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and soul. She made it her life's mission to be sure that all her family knew the Lord. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, William Frank Dyer; a granddaughter, Macy Elizabeth Dyer, and two brothers, Charlie George and Milton George. Survivors include three sons, Bobby Dyer and wife Barbara of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Steve Dyer and wife Jean of Henderson, Texas and Michael Dyer and wife Teresa of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, Betty Johnson and husband Bob of Amarillo, Texas; four sisters, June Elliott, Nadine Lane, Frankie Gambrel and Evelyn Elliott; a sister-in -law, Alene Roark; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a special friend, Julie Stevens, and many loving nieces and nephews.
