Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Berlin church of Christ at 2:30 p.m. with Clyde Duke and Joe Duke, Allison, Texas, officiating. Born November 1, 1898 in Missouri, Mr. Evans came with his parents in 1900 to Oklahoma territory and he had been a Berlin community resident. He was married in 1920 to Lillie Williams in Beckham County. He has been a member of the church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, one infant daughter, one brother; and one sister. Survivors are his wife of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Mabal Stinson, Amarillo, Texas; his mother Mrs. Daisy Shumway of Berlin; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Ted of Berlin, Charlie and Joe of Shamrock, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Thompson, Mrs. Beryl Johnson, both of Elk City.
