Evans were conducted Monday, October 14, 1985 at 2:30 p.m. in the Martin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Perry and Rev. Elbert Shoemaker officiating. Burial followed in the Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Theodore R. Evans was born May 24, 1906 in Roger Mills County and died Saturday at the age of 79. He lived near the New Libety community until after his marriage to Priscilla Mae Macklin on February 18, 1928 in Berlin, Oklahoma. He then moved three miles north of Berlin where he farmed until he and his wife moved into Elk City in 1975. He was a longtime member of the Berlin Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Priscilla of the home; one daughter-in- law, Jo Anne Evans of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Monty Charles Evans of Nuremburg, Germany, Jodene Corbitt of Houston, Texas, Thad Evans of Lubbock, Texas, Tim R. Evans of Elk City and Tracy Evans of Florence S.C.; one brother, Joe Evans of Shamrock, Texas and Burl Ruize of Elk City.
