When nine years of age she moved to Bestrop, Texas, where she lived until 1902 at which time she came to Roger Mills County where she resided at the time of her death, September 16, 1919, at the home of her sister Mrs. S.J. Butler of the Hamburg vicinity. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Evers who lived near Cheyenne until the death of the father some twelve years ago. Five years ago the mother passed away and then Miss Evers went to her sister, Mrs. Butler, with whom she has made her home since. She leaves two brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss. Mrs. Julia Butler of Hamburg, Oklahoma; Mrs. Leslie Nelson of Sayre, Okla.; and Will Evers of Yukon, Oklahoma. Besides relatives she had many friends. For twenty years Miss Evers had been an invalid but she b ore her suffering patiently and those who knew her best will long remember the happy hours spent in conversation wit her. She was a member of the Methodist church and a devoute Christian.
