Gene Spillman officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Viola Margaret Estes was born November 26, 1911 at Stafford to Sam and Ada Childress Harrelson and died Sunday at the age of 87. She attended Stafford and Clinton schools. Viola was married to R.F. "Kick" Estes on September 20, 1931 at Clinton. Viola has been an Elk City resident for 68 years until October of 1998 when she entered a nursing home. She was an active member of the First Christian Church and served as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Ladies Guild. Survivors include two children, Darla Morey and husband Harvey, and Bob Estes and wife Jeannine, all of Elk City; five grandchildren, Rebecca Carr and husband Robert of Elk City, Dianne Sanchez and husband Efrain of Kerrville, Texas, Brian Morey and wife Pam of Ingram, Texas, Shannon Welty and husband Todd of Leedey, and Sean Estes and wife Jennifer of Elk City; eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
