Easterling, pioneer farmer of Reydon, Okla. who died Thursday morning, March 16, 1978 in a Haltom City, Texas hospital, were held in the Reydon Community Building on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Eddie Overstreet, Reydon, and Rev. Ronnie McManus, Ft. Worth, Texas officiating. Mr. Easterling, succumbed following a five months illness with the last 3 1/2 months spent in the Haltom City Hospital. He was born on January 5, 1890, in Pope County, Atkins, Ark. in 1910. The family moved to Mountain View, Oklahoma. He married Frankie Peoples July 26, 1915. Soon after marriage, they went to Estlene, Colorado, where they homesteaded on a section of land. Not finding the desired results there, they moved to Rankin, now Reydon, Okla., in 1920, where he has lived the rest of his life until August, 1977. He moved to Ft. Worth, Tex. to make his home with his daughter in 1977. There were five children born to this union. One son preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Frankie; two sons, Acie, of Perris, California, and Howard, of Pampa, Texas; Two daughters, Nellie Petersen, Reydon, and Geogie Hughes, Ft. Worth, Texas; Four sisters, Mrs. Mary Dotson, Mrs. Lee McColgin and Mrs. Jewel Inman, Reydon, and Mrs. Flora Barber, Diamond Springs, California; Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors. Pallbearers were L.L. Reynolds, C.L. Hickey, Russell Clay, Ray Clay, Paul Burks and Bill Parks.
