He passed away at his home Sunday, October 12, 1941 at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 4 days. He was married to Miss Lucinda Burris, November 16, 1884. To this union were born ten children, Thomas, who died in infancy; George W., of Reydon; Elmer and Frank of Oxnard, Califonira; Vester of Sulfridge Field, Michigan; Mary Dotson, Lee McColgin and Jewel Inman of Reydon; Nancy Casto of Sulfridge Field, Michigan and Flora Barber of Clovis, New Mexico. He was a good husband, a good father and a kind and helpful neighbor. He has spent most of his lfie in Arkansas and Oklahoma except two years in Texas, coming to Mountain View, Oklahoma 32 years ago and to Reydon in 1919, where he has since resided. He joined the Christian Church when he was 16 years old and was baptized. His last words were, " I am perfectly all right and ready to go." He leaves two half brothers, Andy Easterling of Olie, Oklahoma and Thomas Easterling of Huntsville, Arkansas and Mrds. Maggie Harris of Ragg, Oklahoma. Nine children, 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. M.a. Hawkins, pastor of the assembly of God Church, and assisted by Rev. H. Woodard, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Reydon. Burial in White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
