Lee Slaten and Harold Heinery, officiating. Burial was in the Kiowa Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Martin Funeral Home. Mrs. Eakins was born in Cisco, Texas, April 2, 1893 and was married to Roy L. Creach in 1917 in Hammon. Mr. Creach died in 1930 and she married Fred J. Eakins in 1937. He preceded her in death in 1956. She was an active member of the Hammon Baptist Church for more than 50 years and was a resident of Roger Mills County since 1896. She is survived by four step-children: Freddia Lancaster, Los Angeles; Joan of Los Angeles; Rex Eakins of Borger and Gus Eakins who is with the U.S. Navy. She is survived also by four sisters: Mrs. Minnie Houston, Anderson, Calif.; Mrs. Stella Carder, Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. May Dick and Mrs. Rose Allen, Elk City. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
