Eddings was born July 4, 1904 and died at his home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma August 30, 1973. On June 26, 1926 he was married to Viola albrook in Gainesville, Texas. To this union three daughters and 3 sons were born. They are May Cornell, Wheeler, Texas, Merle Yates, and Sharon Whisenhunt, Grand Praririe, Texas, Leon and Overton Eddings, Amarillo, Texas. One son died in infancy and Viola in 1969. On June 28, 1970 he was married to Verlie Lue (Kitty) Drake in Cheyenne. He had been a resident of the Reydon community for 30 years prior to moving to Cheyenne in 1970. Also surviving are two brothers, four sisters, 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were in the Baptist Church of Cheyenne, September 2, 1973 with Rev. Fudge officiating. Interment was in White Rose Cemetery, Redyon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins and Son.
