Ellis, 80, was born April 4, 1905 in Edna, Kansas to Frank and Lena Page and passed away from this life Friday evening, August 1, 1985 in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne following an extended illness. On September 9, 1931 he was married to Mary Melissa Crozier in Laverne, Oklahoma. Following their marriage they lived in Kansas before moving to Cheyenne in 1952 to make their home. Mr. Ellis was a veteran of World War II and had been a member of the First Baptist Church for a number of years serving as a deacon in the Cheyenne Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a retired school teacher. His parents and one daughter preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home; one son David of Sunnyvale, California; 3 grandchildren; 1 sister, Mary Waggoner of Little Rock, Arkansas. Services were conducted Tuesday, August 6, 1985 at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne with grave side services in Mt. Olivet Cemetery of Paul's Valley, Oklahoma, Wednesday morning at 11 a.m., Aubrey Cowan officiated at both services under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Pallbearers were Tom Beaty, Robert Briggs, James Mogg, Eldon Boswell, Johnny Cannon, A.F. (Chink) Beaty. Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. G.A. Reimer, Fred Cordell, Eddie Lee McDaniel and R.J.
