Funeral services were conducted from the United Methodist Church, Cheyenne, on Monday, November 13, 1972 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Benefield officiating. She was born at New Town, Missouri and was married to William Alfred Erwin at New Town, Missouri on October 8, 1896. They moved from Missouri to Oklahoma Territory in 1899 and homsteaded near Berlin, moved to Dempsey in 1912. In 1929 moved to Reydon and in 1958 moved to Cheyenne. She had been a member of the United Methodist Church since age 9. She was also a charter member of the Reydon Eastern Star. Survivors include 2 daughters: Mrs. A.B. (Julia) Parman, Reydon, and Mrs. W.L. (Crystal) Martin, of Dempsey; 3 sons, M.C. Erwin, Sayre; W.W. Erwin, Clinton; Amos Erwin, Amarillo, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, 1 son, 1 grandson, 6 brothers and 1 sister. Services were conducted by Moore Funeral Home, and interment was in the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
