His many friends at Dempsey extend sympathy to the family. His sisters, Crystal Martin, Julia Parman reside in our community, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Isch, Mrs. L.D. Morris attended his services at Wheeler Baptist Church Sunday evening and burial at Dempsey Cemetery with Masonic rites. At the age of 4 months his parents moved to Roger Mills County, Oklahoma where he spent most of his younger life. He was married to Madge Green at Weatherford, Oklahoma. They then went to Texas to make their home moving to Wheeler where he was engaged in the sale of used cars, later serving as County Commissioner from 1951 to 1957. He is survived by his wife of the home also three sons, Bill, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Jim, Elk City, Oklahoma, Dwight, Wheeler, Texas and seven grandchildren who lovingly called him "Pappy." Three brothers, his twin, Willis of Clinton, Oklahoma, Cecil Sayre, and Amos, Amarillo, Texas; and 2 sisters, Mrs. A.B. (Julia) Parman, Reydon, Oklahoma, Mrs. W.L. (Crystal) Martin, Grimes, Oklahoma, his mother Mrs. May Erwin, Cheyenne; a number of nieces and nephews and cousins and a host of friends. Interment in the Dempsey Cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
