Interment was held at the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Nan R. Evans was born June 21, 1934, at Canadian, TX to Harmon E. and Ella O. (Sides) Collins and passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at the age of 72. Shes was raised in the Durham community and graduatwed from Durham High School. She was married to Ronal Lee Evans on October 9, 1954. Nan started a career in nursing with Dr. WM Featherston and then went to the Pharmacy at Community Hospital of Elk City. She then purchased the Southwest Pharmany in Elk City. She was a relief Pharmacist for a while before going to the Homeland Pharmacy in Clinton where she retired in 1999. Mr. Evans preceded her in death on October 24, 1989. Nan married Jim Bell in August of 199 and they moved to New Jersey. Mr. Bell passed away in 2001, Nan returned to Eljk City where she has lived since. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands. A daughter, Ronita Evans on September 26, 2000 qand a brother, Frank Collins. Survivors include a granddaughter: Rhylie Robinius, of Hurst, Texas, 2 nieces, Jaquita Sibley and husband Jack of Fritch, TX and Nena Wells and her husband, Bert of Durham, OK, a nephew Michael Collins and wife Strephanie, of Durham, OK, a sister-in-law, Pat Collins of Durham, OK, and special friend, Maxine Schuelein and her husband, Kenneth of Elk City. The family request memorials in Nan's name be made to the charity of their choice.
