Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Home. Lonnie Lemuel Foshee was born on February 14, 2003 to Lonnie David Foshee and Margie Pricilla near Magazine, Arkansas, and died July 15m 2003, He was born and lived near Magazine, Arkansas until he and his parents moved to Roger Mills County in western Oklahoma in the early 1930's. He attended Berlin Elementary School and graduated from Berlin High School in 1946. He received his undergraduate degrees, BA and BS from Southwestern University at Weatherford. He did graduate work at the University of Arkansas and Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He completed all his graduate academic work toward a Doctorate of Science at Washington University, Washington,D.C. Lonnie had a seventeen-year career with the goverment including a tour with the Army as a Research Physicist. He was the chief expermenter for NASA on the Numbus Spacecraft. Before retirement he worked for Hughest Aircraft Company in Los Angeles, California as a Manager of Special Programs which were known as "Black Programs". After retirment, the family moved to Edmond, where he developed an interest in working with older Christians which prompted him to receive his Masters in Gerentology from the University of Central Oklahoma. Lonnie was a member of the Memorial Road Church of Christ. Their family had previously worshipped at Alexandria, Virginia; Arlington, Virginia; Inglewood, California; and Redondo Beach, Califfornia where he served as an elder. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie David Foshee (1980); and his mother Margie Priscilla (1948); and his step-mother Lillian Foshee (1995). He is survived by his wife, Juanita; and his daughters, Sharon K. Foshee of Edmond and Karen Bender and husband, Paul of Seal Beach, California; a brother-in-law, Cliffford Williams and wife, Vernell of Sayre, Oklahoma; two nephews; one step sister, Margaret Surrett and husband, "H" of Lovelady, Texas; one step-brother, George Bales and wife, Helen of Sayre.
