All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Fox, Witt, Schroeder, Luper, Brown, Walker, Parr Ronald Dean Fox, son of Lee and Violet Witt Fox, was born August 15, 1942, in Elk City, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on June 22, 1988 at the home in Leedey, Oklahoma. Dean was forty-five years of age. He completed his Elementary education in the Libert Center School, and his High School years in Leedey, then spent one year of study at Oklahoma City Universtiy, one year at Oklahoma State University and was a graduate of Oklahoma State-Tech College of Okmulgee. His chosen occupation was in the field of Carpentry, Electrical Work and Plumbing. Dean was a member of various organizations, inlcuding the First United Methodist Church of Leedey which he had supported through the years. He was a past Master of Leedey Masonic Lodge and a past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Scottish Rite and was also the Cub Scouts of Leedey. He enoyed these fraternal organizations and his involvement in each of these groups, demonstrates his love and concern of people. His mot cherished "Hobby" was collecting Indian rjelics and searching for antiques. He enjoyed working his his hometown among the people whom he knew, always willing to help his friends and neighbors and anyone in need of a helping hand, although in recent months, failing health prevented much of his involvement in the work and activities which he enjoyed so much. Preceding Dean in death were; his father, Lee Fox, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Fox and Mrs. and Mrs. Clyde Witt; two aunts, six uncles, Kenneth Luper, Lamar Witt, Otto Brown, Charlie Walerk, Arthur Fox and Paul Fox. He is survived by his mother, Violet Fox of Leed4ey; one brother, Leland Fox and wife, Elma of Cushing; two nephews, Darrin Fox of Cushing and Dwane Fox and wife, Terri, of Woodward, a great-niece and nephew, Jannie and Austin Fox, of Woodward, a step-niece, cousins and a great circle of friends. Funeral services were held for Ronald Dean Fox on Friday, June 24, 1988 at 10:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Leedey, Oklahoma. Interment following in the Evergreen Cemetery, Leedey, Dewey County, Oklahoma under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home. Cakset bearers were: L.F. Fegel, David McDannald, Tom McDowell, Bert McKinney, Richard Pierce and Rex Welty.
