Fox, son of j.M. and Alice Fox deceased, was born September 17, 1901 at Leslie, Arkansas, departing this life, after a short illness, in the Community Hospital Monday afternoone, September 26, 1949 at the age of 48 years and 9 days. He moved with his family to Oklahoma in 1903, settling at Okemah and remained there until early manhood, when he came to western Oklahoma, where he met Miss Jewell Carver, to whom he was united in marriage in 1921. He lived in and near Elk City for a number of years. In 1941 he moved to Cromwell where he engaged in the Grocery Business. It was while living there that he gave himself to Christ and became a member of the First Baptist Church. In the late fall of 1945 he returned to Elk City, engaging in the grocery business. Roy, was the first to answer the call of our Heavenly Father, of eleven children in 63 years. Left to cherish the memory of our loved one are: His wife, Jewell, of the home address; three sisters, Norah Wells of Oklahoma City, Ella Barnes of Boise, Idaho, Ora Nixon of Whichita Falls, Texas; seven brothers, Raden of Salinas, California, Bea, of Okemah, Oklahoma, Dock of Cheyenne, OKlahoma, Marley, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Harmon of Okemah, Oklahoma, Walte of Plainview, Texas, Otis of Los Angles, California. He also leaves a host of other relatives and many, many friends.
