The Reverend A.L. Martin officiated. Services entrusted to Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Shattuck. Johnnie Jewel Focht was born February 28, 1902 near Grand, Oklahoma Territory to John and Olive Cozart McQuigg. She grew to womanhood around the Grand community. On June 15, 1921, she married Glenn Focht in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They made their home on a farm near Durham, Oklahoma. In 1958, Johnnie made her home in Shattuck. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a past member of the Garden Club in Shattuck and the Pink Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Focht died June 13, 1993 in the Newman Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, her parents, three brothers, three sisters and one great grandson, Glen Cross. She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Oleta and Ted Appel of Shattuck; two sisters-in-law, Okla McQuigg of Arnett, and Loneta McQuigg of Shattuck; six granddaughters, Barbara and her husband, Butch Grace of Shattuck, Betty Cross of Weatherford, OK; Katherine and her husband, Cork Stevens, Nina Tolle, Vera and her husband, Gary Mitchell, and Donna and her husband, Brad Bunch all of Shattuck; ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Roger Mills Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/rogermills/rogermills.html
