All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Foster, Banner, Cordell, Sanders, Ogle, Howard Services for Mrs. George Foster were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church in Cheyenne with Rev. Laddie Adams assisted by Rev. Paul Jones in charge. Committal was in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins Funeral Home. Dora Lee Banner was born to Charlie and Mollie Baanner, April 1, 1891 at Altus, Oklahoma. In 1902 she came to Roger Mills County with her parents and resided with them in the Roll community. In 1912 she was married to George Foster. To this union five children were born, one of which died in infancey. The family resided in the Roll and Durham communities until 1941 when they moved to Cheyenne, which has been their home since that time. Mrs. Foster passed away at the Cheyenne Convalescent hospital January 7, 1959 after a long and serious illness. Survivng with the husband and father are four children. They are Lorena Cordell, Gage, Oklahoma; George, Camp Chaffee, Arkansas; Leonard, San Diego, California; and Emogene Sanders, Albany, Oregon. One brother, Charlie Banner, Emit, Idaho and two sisters, Birdie Ogle of St. Louis, Missouri and Mollie Howard of Durant, Oklahoma, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives also mourn her departure. A member of the Baptist church, Mrs. Foster's life was an example of love, kindness and patience that will always be cherished in the memory of relatives and friends.
