All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Flying Coyote, Goss Funeral services for Elliott Flying Coyote, 83, of Hammon, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday with Rev. Lawrnece Hart officiating. Coyote died Monday night in Oklahoma General Hospital. He was born at Ft. Supply and had lived in Wichita, Kansas, until 1961 when he moved to Hammon. He was a chief of the Cheyenne Indian Tribe, and a member of the Bethel Mennoniite Church. He saw brief service during World War I. Burial will be in the Bethel Mennonite Cemetery, Hammon, Oklahoma. Survivors include two sons, Scott Flying Coyote of Thomas and Harold Flying Coyote of Hammon, 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One son, Ernest Goss, preceded him in death in 1960.
