Fowler, 71, of 404 Galahad are at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Winfred Moore, of the First Baptist Church of Amarillo officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Paul Burleson, pastor of the Borger Church. Graveside services are 5 p.m. Monday in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors. Masonic rites will be under the auspices of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355. Mr. Fowler died at 11:12 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo. A resident of Borger since 1942, he was born in Spurgeon, Indiana. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Borger, serving as deacon. He was a member of the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star chapter 811. Mr. Fowler was retired railroad yardmaster for the Santa Fe Railway and a former schoolteacher in Indiana and Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Lillian of the home; one son, Richard W. Fowler of San Francisco, Cal., daughter, Mrs Jim Hager of Austin. Four brothers, Burt Fowler, Evansville, Ind. Carl Fowler, Oakland City, Ind.; Curt Fowler, Evansville, Ind.; and Cleyon Fowler, Rapid City, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Jones, Aurora, Ill,; and Mrs. Gene Boardman, Amarillo and five grandchildren. Casketbearers will be Bob Conley, Roy Brinson, Jack Harkins, Fred Howard, Cecil Clement, and Bill Mongold.
