Flowers, who departed this life the day of July 3, 1935. The services were conducted at the school auditorium at Durham,. Burial was made in the Fairview Cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Mrs. Flowers was born in Phillips county, Kansas December 18, 1885. She married George O. Flowers July 19, 1904. Nine children were born to this union. One child, Mayble Gertrude preceded her in death. Mrs. Flowers obeyed the gospel and was baptized in 1911. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are her husband and five daughters who are: Mrs. Wilma Mills of Reydon; Mrs. Mildred Bachman of Durham; Mrs. Eva Julian of Canadian, Texas; Mrs. Doris Chumbley of Canadian and Rachel Flowers of Reydon; three sons, Orville of Reydon; and Clyde and Melvin of Baxter Springs, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Callie Hatley of Durham; Mrs. Jessie Outheart of Baxter Springs, Kansas; and four brothers Charles Whitson of Durham, James Whitson of Logan, Kansas; Roy Whitson of Erick, Okllahoma; and Lonzo Whitson of Babool, Missouri.
