The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Stanley Cheek Franshier was born October 30, 1929 in Roger Mills County, to Mary Beula Kemper and George Washington Franshier and died Tuesday August 2, 1997 in the Great Plains Regional Medical Center at the age of 67. Stanley graduated from Elk City High School. He moved to Amarillo, Texas and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad as a dispatcher and later became a dispatcher for the Highway Parol before transferring to Shattuck. He moved to Elk City in 1997 to make his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. Grave side services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma officiated by Rev. Mark Little. Services are under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service. Survivors include: one daughter, Barbara Ellen of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Fannie F. Fanshier of Elk City, Caroline Armstrong of Elk City, Ruby Winn of Elk City and Drucilla Ferris of Elk City; three brothers, L.G. "Bill" Fanshier of Borger, Texas, Arthur Fanshier of Arapaho, Oklahoma and Earl Wayne Fanshier of West Palm Beach, Florida; one granddaughter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
