Lonnie Forester officiating. Burial will follow in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Ellen D. Forester was born June 30, 1915 at Clayton, New Mexico to Calvin Wayne and Annie Rockett Davis and died Wednesday at the age of 83. She lived with her family in Alamagordo, New Mexico and Hollis. Ellen was married to William Forester on July 28, 1932 at Durham. The Forester's lived in Durham, Cheyenne, Sayre and New Mexico before returning to Sayre in 1957. They moved to Elk City in 1974 where she has lived since. Ellen has been a Minister of the Gospel since 1950 and was attending the potter's House in Elk City where her son is the minister. William preceded her in death in 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two children, six brothers and sisters and four grandchildren. Survivors include her children, William Warren Forester, Anna Lee Porter, Laverne Music, Lavon Mayfield, Ronnie Forester, Lonnie Forester, Retha Bruce, Randy Forester and Veld Sevo; 28 grandchildren, 56 greag grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Davis; two sisters, Loretta Martin and Helen Boyett. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Roger Mills Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/rogermills/rogermills.html
