Ford was born January 16, 1908 in Arapaho, OK to Tennie Angeline and Jessie Lee Ford and passed away January 11, 1999 in the Cheyenne Care Center at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 25 days. Tom attended Colter School and later moved with his parents to Roger Mills County in 1928. He married Lulu Fern Macklin on January 30, 1937 in Sayre, Oklahoma at the Methodist Church parsonage. They lived in Albuquerque, NM until October of 1939 when they moved south of Cheyenne. Tom and Lulu moved into Cheyenne in 1974 to make their home after Tom had retired from the State Highway Department. He later kept busy by working for the Apco Service Station and the United States Forrest Service. Tom loved to fish with his grandchildren and tend to his garden. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 infant son Thomas Lavell, 1 sister and 4 brothers. He is survived by his wife Lulu of the home; 3 daughters, Novella Thompson, Cordell, OK, Fern Trammell, Cheyenne, OK and Ellen Ford, Cheyenne, OK; 1 brother, Elton Ford, Rupert, Idaho; 2 sisters Eula Kirk, Blackfoot, Idaho and Anita Parrish, American Falls Idaho; 6 grandchildren, Richard Thompson, Edward D. Thompson, Pamela Bryant, Novita Olson, Regena Ford, Robert Trammell; and other relatives and friends. Services were at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday January 13, 1999 at the Cheyenne First United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Rob Harris and assisted by Pete Moore.
