All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Ferrell, Graybill, Crispin, Martin, Basler, Farriss, Holcomb Floy William Ferrell was born February 21, 1919 near Rhea, oklahoma to Edward H. and Ann Mary Graybill Ferrell. Floy passed away on March 29, 1995 in the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 76. Floy received his education in the Center Point School near his childhood home. In his ealy teens, he became a member of the Church of Christ where he remained faithful until his death. Floy was inducted into the Army on March 13, 1941 and served in the 1684th Engineers Medical Branch of the U.S. Army. Here he received the American Defense Medal, American Campaign Medal, Good conduct Medal and the World War II victory Medal. He was honorably discharged on December 18, 1945. On February 14, 1946, Floy was united in marriage to Arlita Crispin in Clinton, Oklahoma. To this union, three sons were born. They are William Edward Ferrell of Hennessey, Oklahoma; Clavin Loyd Ferrell of Sharonville, Nebraska; and Eldon Low Ferrell of Leedey, Oklahoma. Floy and Arlita spent their entire married life in the Leedey community where they farmed and raised cattle. Floy's intersts were family, neighbors, friends, cattle and traveling. He also enjoyed watching baseball games. He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Annie Ferrell; and one brother, Felix Edward Ferrell. Survivors includce: his wife, Arlita, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Sandy Ferrell of Hennessey, Oklahoma; Calvin and Nancy Ferrell of Sharonville, Nebraska; Eldon and Dixie Ferrell of Leedey. Surviving grandchildren are: David of Weatherford; Shannon of Stillwater, Eric and Charlie of Hennessey; Amanda, Anita and Daniel of Sharonville, Nebraska; Nathan and Adam of Leedey. He is alos survived by five sisters and three brothers. They are: Festus Martin, Searcy, Arkansas; Flavis Martin, Lancaster, California; Farice Basler, Bonners Ferry, Idaho; Fay Ferrell, Redding, California; Flynn Ferrell, McLoud, Oklahoma; Fincel Farris, Frady Holcomb and Fred Ferrell of Leedey, Oklahoma.
