Bessie married R.J. "Babe" Frankford on August 20, 1927 in Grimes, OK. They lived in the Grimes community where they farmed before moving to Cheyenne in 1948. They ran the "Babes Calfe" for a number of years and she later was clerk in several business in Cheyenne before going to work for Calvert Cleaners until her retirement in the late 60's. She was a member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by 1 daughter, Alene Burks, Cushing, OK; 2 granddaughters, Darla and Terry Hoggatt, Cushing, OK and Sandrea and Larry Hough, Goodwell, OK; 2 sisters, Alma Green, Panhandle, TX and Lola and Johnny McClellan, Sayre, OK; 3 great grandchildren, Lance, Mickey, Brian; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Dickey, Myrtle Point, OR; 1 brother in law, Fred Frankford, Loomis, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services were 10:00 a.m., Monday April 26, 1993 at the Cheyenne First Baptist Church officiated by Paul Nachtigall, and assisted by Willard Cox.
