All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Farmer, Mason, Bullard Originally posted at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/1874 Last rites for John Wilson Farmer, 81 year old pioneer Hammon farmer and peace officer, were held Thursday afternoon at the Pentecostal Holiness Church at Hammon with Reverend Melvin Rumbough, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Kiowa Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Mr. Farmer who had lived in the Hammon Community since 1900 died Wednesday morning January 20, 1942 after a three-week illness. He was born January 19, 1861 in Denton County, Texas and was married December 24, 1881 to Martha Bullard. He had seved for 15 years as a Roger Mills County Deputy Sheriff. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Martha Farmer of Hammon and four sons; E.J. Farmer of Lefore, Texas, R.R. Farmer of Hammon, Oklahoma, Tom Farmer of Maxwell, New Mexico and Clyde Farmer of Kermit, Texas.
