He was born March 19, 1876 in Bolivar, Missouri and was married to Ella Franklin in Jessie, Indian Territory on February 18, 1908. He came to the Crawford community in 1937 from eastern Oklahoma. He is a former member of the Woodmen Lodge. Mr. Farmer moved to Crawford from Carter in 1938 where he had resided since. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Farmer of the home address, one daughter, Mrs. Joe Robinson of Crawford; one son, Jim Bill Farmer of Grand Prairie, Texas. He was preceded in death by one daughter. He also leaves seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his departure. Funeral services were held at the Crawford gym with Rev. A.L. Martin delivering the sermon. Burial was in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with the Scroggins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
