Funeral services were held Friday, February 9, 1996 at the Sayre Church of Christ with Eddie Beard officiating. Burial was in the Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose chapel Funeral Service of Sayre. Mrs. Farrar, the daughter of Sannie Elizabeth and Daniel Boone Burckhalter, was born on April 11, 1906, in Strong City, Indian Territory. She moved to Elk City, with her parents in 1919 and married Sammie Leroy Harrington on November 11, 1923, in Berlin. They lived and made their home in Berlin community. Mr. Harrington died in 1963. On June 30, 1965, she married Lyle Farrar in Wheeler and they moved to Elk City. Mr. Farrar died in 1974. She moved to Sayre in 1981 to be near her children. She was a member of the Berlin Church of Christ for over 71 years. She obeyed the gospel on September 28, 1924. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one grandchild, one sister and five brothers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lovell and Darrell Mackey of Sayre and Joretta and Harry Tinsley of Tulsa; one son and daughter-in-law, Gaylord and LaVerne Harrington of Sayre; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several other relatives and friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Roger Mills Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/rogermills/rogermills.html
