His full name is Charlie Thomas Ford The Hammon Advocate, Thursday, February 9, 1961 pg 1 Last Rites For Charlie T. Ford Conducted Sunday Last rites for Charlie T. Ford of the Herring community were conducted Sunday February 8, at 2:30 p.m. from the Hammon First Baptist church with Rev. Richard Walker and Rev. Albert Trent officiating. Mr. Ford was born September 30, 1900(sic) at Goldswaith,(sic) Texas and passed from this life February 3 due to a fatal injury sustained as he was working on his road grader. He was united in marriage to Myrtle Carter May 22, 1921 at Kiowa. He settled in the Hammon area at a very early age and had lived here since. He was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle, of the home, a son, J. C. Ford of Weatherford; four sisters; five brothers and four grandchildren.
