All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Vera Valena Gesell PAMPA - Vera Valen Gesell, 89, formerly of Arnett, Okla., died Thursday, July 16, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Christian Church of Arnett. Burial will be in Debolt Cemetery by Rose Chapel Funeral Service in Cheyenne, Okla. Mrs. Gesell was born in Elk City, Okla. She spent her early years and attended school in Delhi, Okla. She completed her schooling at Strong City, Okla. Mrs. Gesell was a member of First Christian Church in Arnett. She moved to Pampa in 1988. She was first married to George Wing in 1928 at Strong City. He died in 1960. Her second marriage was to A.C. "Delph" Gesell in 1964 at Arnett. He died in 1974. She also was preceded in death by her children, Mildred Penner, Otto Gesell and Eugene Gesell. Survivors include three daughters, Marie McGarraugh of Perryton, Evelyn Kisner of Austin and Vera Williams of Pampa; four sons, Lester Wing of Fort Smith, Ark., George Wing of Fort Worth, Leonard Wing of Eugene, Ore., and Clarence Wing of Sayre, Okla.; a brother, Clarence Crites of Borger; four sisters, Leora Gilliland of Erick, Okla., Ethel Lynn of El Cajon, Calif., Mozell Thompson of Tucson and Sylvia Thompson of Moore, Okla.; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several greatgreat- grandchildren.
