All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Gleaves, Walker, Baker, Whinery, Orr Glen William Gleaves was born September 23, 1919 in Grimes to Stella Elizabeth and Arhtur Nealey Gleaves and died Firday January 9, 1998 in the Sayre Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Glen attended school at Grimes and later farmed before joining the CCC's at Burns Flat in 1938. After his discharge he married Anglee Walker on October 16, 1940 in Grimes at Angie's parents home. He wne to work laying pipe line and in 1942 returned to farming. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter, Ashley Renee; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Baker Gleaves; and one granddaughter, Virginia Fay Gleaves. Services will be 2 p.m., Monday at the Rose chapel officiated by Albert Warnken, and assisted by David Worsham. Interment will be in the Sayre- Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Beckahm County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose chapel Funeral Service. Survivors include: his wife, Angie of the home; one daughter and son-in- law, Glenda and Brad Whinery of Elk City; three sons and daughters-in-law, Al and Sharon Gleaves of Canyon, Texas, Wayne and Freda Gleaves of Hobbs, New Mexico; Lee and Debbie Gleaves, of Lawton, Oklahoma; one sister, Mae Orr of Seminole, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, Cindy, Junior, Donnie, Lanita, Darla, Chad, Darmey, Jonathan, Bradley and Chris; seven great grandchildren, J.D., Alisha, John, Ty, Jordon, Nathan and Jessica.
