Gary L. Davison, minister. Versa Belle Chappell was born June 1, 1901 in Strong City, the daughter of Francis Asbury and Ersula Kate Ferguson Chappell. Versa taught school at Squaretop, Strong City and Grimes prior to marrying Arthur James Galvin on Jan. 9, 1920, in St. Louis, MO. Mrs Galvin worked for Bullocks in Los Angeles, Calif. for 35 years, retiring at the age of 65. Mrs. Galvin moved to Berlin, Okla., in 1971. She was a member of the Berlin Methodist Church and at one time taught Sunday School. Mrs. Galvin also belonged to the Berlin Community Group. Versa Galvin is survived by one daughter, Dolores (Mrs. Norman) Wolff of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one grandson, Michael Dennis Wolff, of Yardley, PA; and four sisters, Frances Jones and Roxianna Beck, both of Visalia, Calif.; Ruth Ragan of McAlester, OK and Lollie Smith of Cheyenne, OK. She was precded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and three sisters.
