Glass, 80, manfacturing laborer, died Saturday July 12, 2003 at Newton Medicla Center. She was born December 4, 1922 to Benton Franklin and maude Emmaline James Scrivner in Rankin, Oklahoma. They preceded her in death. She married Alfred D. Glass, January 30, 1944, in Ellbing. He preceded her in death April 11, 1974. She enjoyed her family, traveling, fishing, crossword and word search puzzles and going to nursing homes to visit her church family. Survivors include: two sons, Phillip D. Glass of Newton and Alex Glass of Lakeland, Florida; two daughters, Wanda Platt of Newton and Barbara Rainer of Peabody; two brothers, James C . Scrivner of Leedey, Oklahoma, and Donald W. Scrivner of Amarillo, Texas; a sister, Oma G. West of BBurk Burnette, Texas; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by: five brothers, Ora Scrivner, Martin Scrivner, Clifford Scrivner, Ralph Scrivner and Floyd Scrivner; a sister Edith Hooper; and a grandson, James F. Glass. Visitation was helf from 1 o 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Bernie Dickson officiating. Burial was in the Restlawn Gardens of Memory. Memorials have been establisahed with First Church of the Nazarene in care of the funeral homre.
