Lloyd Martin and Rev. Clyde Denney officiating. Burial followed in the Silent Home Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home. Mr. Gilliland was born March 11, 1900 at Custer City, Okla. and died later Thursday, June 19, 1980 at the Community Hospital at the age of 80. He was married to Pauline Opal Parker on February 12, 1920 at Cheyenne. He moved from Custer City in 1916 to a farm 3 miles West of Roll where they lived until moving to Elk City in 1975 at the time of his retirement. He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Pauline Opal Gilliland of the home, one son Leon Gilliland of Cheyenne and one daughter, Mrs. Deroy (Beverly) Elledge of Elk City, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the last member of his immediate family of 9 children.
