All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Goin, Stamper Originally posted at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/0625 Emma Mae Goin was born on Dec. 20, 1901 in Olive Hill, Kentucky and passed away on Dec. 29, 1981 at the Presbyterian Hospital, in Oklahoma City, OK after a bried illness at the age of 80 years and 9 days. She came with her parents to Hammon, OKla., in 1905. One Dec. 31, 1921 she was married to James Walton Goin and they lived in the C5rawford community for over 40 years before moving to Cheyenne in 1962. Mrs. Goin had taught in the Clear Spring School and was a member of the Baptist church since 1920. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother and 3 great grandchildren. Survivors include 1 daughter, Lola Mae Winkleblack, of Pampa, Texas; 3 sons, James, of Salem, Oregon; Carol, of Crawford; and George, of Crawford; 2 brothers, Clyde and Gordon Stamper both of Strong City; 5 sisters, Mary Rogers, of Pueblo, Colo.; Thelma Harrison, of Pueblo, Colo.; Georgia White and Eva Gilbert, both of Medford, Ore.; and Olga Allen, of Tacoma, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held Sat., Jan. 2, 1982 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Cheyenne with Aubrey Cowan and Clyde Denney officiating. Interment followed in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, OK. The grandchildren were pallbearers and honorary bearers: Richard Goin; Dale Goin; James Goin; Daniel Goin; David Goin; Gary Goin; Wendel Winkleblac; James Winkleblack; John Goin; Marlene Burroughs; Candice Marsden and Georgia Brown.
