When a small child Ruby with her family moved to the Leedey ares. Ruby attended school at Friendship School near Leedey. Ruby and Warren Debs Gamble were united in marriage on December 2, 1933 at Anadarko, Oklahoma. Four children were born to this union, two daughters, Jole and Wanda, and two sons, Delbert and Kenneth. Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She took a lot of pride in gardening and canning food which she hared with everyone. It was a joy to her when her children and grandchildren went to the cellar for canned goods. She loved to quilt for her family and the public. She showed her love of quilting by giving a homemade guilt to her children on Christmas. Ruby accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. she was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Leedey. She was very devoted to God and her Church. She set the example by her daily living. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Debs, one sister, Pauline Snider, four brothers, Jess, Gene, Everett, and Royce Woodall. She is survived by her children, Jolene and Earnest Currier, Delbert and Linda Gamble, Kenneth and Deanna Gamble all of Leedey and Wanda and L.R. Holley of Shattuck, four sisters, Stella Newton of Marysville, California, Isa Sherbourne of Marysville, California, Irene Sherbourne of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Juanita Vance of Breckenridge, Texas, one brother, Lee Woodall of Coos Bay, Oregon, and one sister-in-law Evelyn Woodall of Clinton; 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of freinds. Memories that the family will cherish was her ability to work hard, serve God and her love for her family and friends. Services were at the Assembly of God Church, Leedey, Oklahoma Wednesday, July 19, 1995 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Walker Allen, Eulogy by Kenneth Gamble, Interment in Red Star Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Casket bearers Rod Gamble, Derek Gamble, Bryan Currier, Randy Holley, Chad Gamble, Roy Hartley, Robert Picerel, dr. Robert Keith, Robert Young and Mark Quattlebaum.
