Henry Coe Gray was born September 17, 1934 in Reydon, Oklahoma to James Estie and Molly Swope Gray. He passed away on Monday, July 2, 2001 at the St. Joseph Regional Rehabilitation Center, Bryan, Texas at the age of 66 years. Henry served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from TDCJ Agricultural Division. He was currently residing in Livningston, Texas. He had served as an Amarillo Police Officer and Juvenile Probation Officer in Canyon, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Survivors include his wife, Vela H. Gray, Navasota, Texas; two sons, William Gray, Palestine, Texas and Michael Hodgson, Lubbock, Texas; three daughters Helen Gina Lacinski, Chicago, Illinois; Laura Valadez, Navasota, Texas; and Tara Fose, Houston, Texas; five grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Services were held Thursday, July 5, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nobles Funeral Chapel, Navasota, Texas, officiating was Chaplain Geral Discher, retired Chaplain for TDCJ. Burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery, Navasota, Texas under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
