Mrs. Besttie Graves, his mother and Miss Ruby Anderson, a niece, left at once for Woodward but shortly after their departure word came that he had passed away, to the great shock of his many friends and the friends of the family here. The remains were brought here Satuurday afternoon and were held until Wednesday afternoon awaiting the arrival of his only brother, Roy Graves, who resides in Magodale, New Mexico, and who was away from home at the time the telegram was sent. He arrived in this city early Wednesday morning. The funeral services were conducted in the Methodist church of this city by Rev. Barrett, in the presence of a large crowd of friends and relatives. Eli Graves had lived in Vici for the past fews years having moved there from this citfy. He leaves to mourn him the wife and a little baby girl, a mother, Mrs. Bettie Graves of this city, three sisters, Mrs. Fayette Anderson and Mrs. Eva Anderson, both of this city, and Mrs. Willie Bulkley of Helena, Oklahoma, besides a host of nieces and nephews. Eli Graves grew to manhood near Cheyenne and is well known. He was a character who numbered his friends by his acquaintances in whose hearts a strong tie of love existed. The Star extednds sympathy to the bereaved and mourn the loss of a friend. Burial in Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
