Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in the Allison, Texas school house. Elder Jack Hays of Wheeler, Texas and Clyde Dukes of Allison officiated. Burial wa in the Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mr. Grayson was born in Paris, Texas June 29, 1925 to Mr. and Mrs. R.P. Grayson whom preceded him in death, also one brother Ode Grayson. Louis (Jack) was a veteran, serving with the Navy during World War II. He married Reta Aderholt in 1950 at Allison. He moved to Allison in 1937 from Reydon, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wheeler. He was the Wheeler County Democratic Chairman for several years and served on the Parkview Hospital Board of Directors for 26 years. A farmer and rancher. He was employed by Agricultural Stablization and Conservation Service for 30 years retiring in 1980. Survivors include his wife Reta; two sons Terry Grayson and Johnny Grayson both of Allison; a daughter, Deborah Jones of Alliston; four brothers Cecil (Son) Grayson of Lexington, Oklahoma; Erksin Grayson of Allison; David Grayson of Sayre; Bobby Joe Grayson of Separman, Texas; two sisters, Gladys Hastie of Sayre, Oklahoma and Margilu Reynolds of Reydon, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Pallbearers were Everett Dollar, Bob Dukes, Boyd Hugg, Bill Robertson, Clifton Taylor and Dean Tipps. Honarary Pallbearers were Bob Cornell, Randal Evans, Jerry Hefley, Leon Lane, Verne Lohberger, Bob Markham, Bill Morrison and Zeland Rainey. The family request memorial be to the American Cancer Society.
