All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Garrison, Platts, Howard, Fitzgerald, Branscom Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Edna Garrison will be conducted from the Martin Funeral Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma. Mrs. Garrison was born December 8, 1894 at Pierce, Missouri and she died in an Oklahoma City nursing home Augusxt 3, 1981 at the age of 86 years. She came with her parents from Missouri to a farm near Roll in 1903. Then after her marriage to Glen Garrison in 1913 at Roll, they established a home at Retrop, where she lived for a while. then they moved to Kansas City, and Oklahoma City where they lived until 1924. Then she moved back to Roger Mills County where she lived un1il 1959. She then made her home here in Elk City until 1876 when she moved to Oklahoma City where she was living at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband December 2, 1951. She was amember of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ann Howard of Elk City and Mrs. Irene Young of Okmulgee; two brothers, Hugh Platts of Lawton, and Vern Platts of Roll; two granddaughters, Carol Ann Fitzagerald of Oklahoma City and Betty Branscom of Tulsa, and one great grandson, James Branscom of Tulsa.
