Funeral services were held Monday, January 3, 1972 at 2:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Cheyenne, with Rev. Roy Weaver officiating. Born May 25, 1894 in Dent County, Missouri, Mrs. Green was married to J.D. Green at Mobeetie, Texas January 2, 1929. They moved from Washita County, Oklahoma, to Roger Mills County and have lived there the past 42 years. Mr. and Mrs. Green owned and operated Green's Produce and Feed Store for 12 years before retiring in Cheyenne. She was a member of the Nazarene church for 48 years. She was preceded in death by three sons, a brother and two sisters. Survivors are her husband, Rev. J.D. Green, Cheyenne, three daughters, Mrs. W.L. Erwin, Wheeler, Texas, Mrs. C.M. Sprowls, Phillips, Texas, Mrs. J.C. Watson, Sanford, Texas; five sons, C.B. of Cheyenne, R.W. of Sayre, John D. of Tucumcari, New Mexico, J .L. of Dell City, Homer A. of Crawford; 29 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; three brothers, Herman Hunt of Elk City, Leslie Hunt of California, A.A. Hunt of Brooklyn, New ork, five sisters, Mrs. Clara Black, Pampa, Texas, Mr. W.M. Sites, Elk City, Mrs. M. Crook, Carter, Mrs. Charles Jenkins, Tulsa, and Mrs. Pearl Sutton, Alex. Pall bearers were her grandsons, Warren Green, Harley Green, Tommy Green, Kenneth Watson, Johnny Green, Richard Green. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Watson, Murl Green, Glen Green, Jim Erwin, Dwight Erwin, Bill Erwin, Edward L. Green, Robert Sprowls and Larry Sprowls. Interment was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
