Murdock was born in South Carolina, July 16, 1838, was married to Rev . J.R. Green, August 26, 1857. To this union was born 12 children, 3 boys and 9 girls. She departed this life May 11, 1923, after 6 weeks and 5 days of suffering. Grandma Green as she was generally known, united with the Missionary Baptist Church, known as the Armerchia Church, near Rome, Georgia, at the age of 15 years and from that time she has lived a consecreated Chrisitan life, always ready to advise her children in the ways of Truth. She leaves to mourn her loss 7 childcren, 6 girls and 1 boy, 54 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Her children are: Mrs. R.W. Dietrich, Georges Creek, Texas; Mrs. R.S. Stewart, Cresson, Texas; Mrs. C.J. McDonald, Benjamin, Texas; Mrs. M.C. Porter, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Mrs. H.E. Underwood, Strong City, Oklahoma; Mrs. C.L. Martin, Strong City, Oklahoma; and Mr. W.J. Green, Pampa, Texas.
