He bought lots and buil a house in the east part of town, where he spent the few remainin days of life allotted to him. He professed faith in Christ and united with the church at about 21 years of age in Missouri but never identified himsel with God's people again until fiver years ago, when he united with the Christian Church. He had been an ODd Fellow over twenty-five and was a faithful member of the order until his death. He was a good citizen, a faithful husband, a kind father and a true friend. The funeral services were conducted by the writer at the grave, followed by the burial service of the Odd Fellows who followed the remains to the cemetery.
