Tunnard passed away at the J.H. Tunnard home in this city, after a lingering illness of about nine months. She had been growing weaker for some time, but appeared better Wednesday. About thirty minutess before the passing she passed away without a struggle. Mrs. Gunn, "Granny" as she was known by intimate friends, has made her home with her daughter in Cheyenne a great part of the time during the past twelve years and is well known to our people. Up until about a year ago, Mrs. Gunn lived a very active life possessing an unusual amout of vim and vigor for her age. She was of a disposition that had to be busy at something until her body was no longer able to continue her activity. Her life and passing was that of one who goes until the body is worn out an finally life passes out without a struggle. Mrs. Gunn was eighty-one years of age on September 18. Mrs. Gunn was a member and consecrated believer in the teachings of the Methodist Church and was a devout Christian. Besides Mrs. J.H. Tunnard, the deceased leaves several other sons and daughters and a host of other relatives. Arrangements for the funeral and burial await the arrival of a son from Ponca City who will arrive this afternoon.
