Officiating at the services were Russell Duck and James Medlock. Burial wa in the Hydro Cemetery. Howe, a retired farmer and school teacher, had taught in schools in Stafford, Bessie, Kiowa, Port, Dill City and Burns Flat. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dill City. Born October 7, 1901, at Carpenter, Oklahoma, Howe spent most of his life in Washita County. Survivors include his wife, Florence of the home in Sentinel, four daughters, Mary Jane Wright, Wichita, Kansas, Wilma Schwartz, State College, Penn., Alma Churchill, Jenks, and Thomasina Harlow, Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother, Charlie Howe, Coweta; two sisters Edith Wells and Lena Kendall, Elk City, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
