All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Huffman, McKnight, Kobs, Roberts, Ross, McLain, Siglin, Baker Funeral services for Fred Andrew Huffman, a long time Elk City resident, were conducted from the First United Methodist church on Wednesday, January 20, 1982 aT 2:30 P.M. with Rev. Glenn Millard officiating. Interment followed at Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City under the direction of Martin Funeral Home. Andrew was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on August 19, 1900. He passed away in the McAlester Regional Hospital on January 18, 1982 at the age of 81. He came to Elk City with his parents when he was onjly a few months old. He has lived in Elk City since. He was married to Margarette Siglin on August 3, 1928 in Elk City. She preceded him in death on March 6, 1981. He was a retired salesman for Shuller Fruit Company, travling all of western Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a chargter member of the Elks Lodge, having served as secretary for many years. He was also a member of the Elk City Masonic Lodge No. 182 and the Western Oklahoma Historical Society. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Lou McKnight, and two sons-in-law, Mr. Gary McKnight of McAlester, Oklahoma, and Dr. Tracy L. Kobs of Ft. Worth, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Roberts of McAlester, Oklahoma, Mrs. Lyda Ross of Pawhuska, Oklahoma and Mrs. Ruth McLain of McAlester; step mother-in-law, Mrs. L.F. Siglin of Elk City; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Hazell Baker of Elk City; nephew and niece, Dr. L.V. and Mrs. Pat Baker of Elk City; four grandchildren, Jeff Kobs and Julie Kobs of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Scott McKnight and Jennifer McKnight of McAlester, Oklahoma; several nephews and nieces. He was also preceded in death by one daugher, Jayne kobs in 1978.
