Obit for James Parvon Hickey

James Parvon Hickey, was born September 5, 1896, in Henderson county, Kentucky, 
to Charles Lee and Emily Jane Hickey.  He departed this life March 20, 1969, at the 
Roger Mills County Memorial Ho0spital, Cheyenne, at the age of 72 years, 6 months 
and 15 days.

He was united in marriage to Lucy Montgomery at Dempsey, Oklahoma, on December 21, 
1915.

To this union two children were born.  One son, C.L., Reydon and one daughter 
June of Cheyenne.  Also reared in this home was Verbon Baker, Perryton, Texas.

Parvon had been engaged in farming and ranching in the Reydon community since 
1931.

He was a long-time member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Lucy of the home; his son C.L., and daughter-in-law, 
Hester; his daughter June and son-in-law, Glen Kandall; two grandsons, Charles Hickey, 
Goodwell, Michael Kendall and granddaughter Lily; a great-granddaughter, Michele 
Kendall, Reydon; three sisters, Lena Hickey and Opal Luke, Oklahoma City, and Ethel 
Smith, El Reno; a host of other relatives and friends.  He loved life to the 
fullest extent.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sa6tudaay, March 22, 1969, in the Reydon community 
building with Rev. Bill Chace, of Cheyenne and Rev. Lloyd Mart of Crawford in charge 
of services.

Pall bearers were Huston Stickley, Charles H. Fry, Clyde Tice, Jr., Ernest Lee Smith,
John Lain, and Jim Brown.  Honoraary pall bearers were Louie Hall, Calarence Lackey, 
Leonard Burns, Homer Parman, Eddie Bessire, and Caude Hawkins.

Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with 
Scroggins and son Funeral home of Cheyenne in charge.
