All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Haas, Smith, Boyd, Lowry, Baker, Henson, Bell, Hill, Terry Wilbert Haas was born January 24, 1923 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Sara and Henry Phillips Haas and passed away September 3, 1993 in the Mercy Health Center of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 9 days. Wilbert moved with his parents to Willow when he was five years old and remained there where he met Beatrice Smith. They were later married on February 18, 1943 in Brinkman, Oklahoma and they moved to the Sayre area in 1945 to make their home. Wilbert was an avid fisherman and a loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed. He was a member of the Sayre First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Calvin and a brother, Raymond Boyd. He is survived by wife Beatrice of the home; 3 daughters and husbands, Bonnie and Roger Lowry, Sayre, Oklahoma; Linda and charles Baker, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and Jan and Greg Henson, Sweetwater, Oklahoma; 4 sons, Sammy and his wife, Belinda, Elk City, Oklahoma; Billy, Elk City, Oklahoma; Jack and his wife, Lucia, Sayre, Oklahoma; and Darryl, Sayre, Oklahoma; 3 sisters, Edna Bell, Hennessey, Oklahoma, Bill Hill, Sayre, Oklahoma; and Millie Terry, Sayre, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. Services were 2:00, Monday, September 6, 1993 at the Sayre First Baptist Church officiated by Oliver Thompson. Interment was in the Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
