Mr. Hicks was a native of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He lived in Patterson most of his adult life. He was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served in the Army during World War II. He is survived by his children, Michael Hicks of San Francisco, and Linda Hicks of Fullerton; brothers, J.D. Hicks, and Frankie Hicks, both of Patterson; and sister Erma Carey of Angles Camp. A graveside service was planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery at Santa Nella. Remembrances may be made to Del Puerto Hospital Foundation, P.O.
